Having spent a large part of his career making instruments for various London dealers, this cello is a rare example of John Morrison making under his own label.  It bears all the hallmarks of the distinctive 'Amati' model so instantly recognisable in English instruments of this period, and has a remarkable tone that combines projection and power with a wonderful depth and richness.  Exceptional.
